A new era in education is unfolding in front of our eyes. It is an era where traditional hierarchical educational models are ceding way to flipped classrooms which highlight a democratic approach to learning.
It is an era in which technology is broadening the number of possibilities available to students and teachers alike, providing never-before-seen levels of convenience and efficiency. It is an era in which actually doing, rather than simply memorizing for the sake of passing a test, is being valued as a more efficient method of learning.
However, this era is also one in which many billions of people in our global community are suffering from a growing shortage of qualified medical practitioners, and decreasing access to basic healthcare. Indeed, the gap in supply and demand for adequate healthcare is only forecast to worsen in the decades ahead. That’s why it is absolutely critical that we make great strides of progress towards increasing access to quality, modern medical education. Especially in areas of the world which are suffering the most.
By harnessing the power of the opportunities afforded to us in this digital age, and by implementing innovative and modern learning methods, we are making it possible for students anywhere in the world to access the transformative educations they need and deserve. Our localisible teaching model means that talented young people who are passionate about studying medicine will be able to do so nearer to home in their native country, rather than abroad. This is a first step to building and supporting a medical care infrastructure in parts of the world where existing efforts are under erosion from a variety of socio-economic factors, such as brain drain.
Indeed, it is our mission as an institute of higher education specializing in medicine, to do our part in this global challenge. And so, it is our solemn duty to do everything we can for you, our students, to help you become the inspired medical practitioners you long to be. Because our global community needs you.

Clinical Rotations From The Start
Students experience 1 month in a teaching hospital for every 8 weeks of theoretical online study within 3 months of starting their studies.

While campuses all over the world struggle to accommodate growing student demand, countless talented young people are unable to access higher education due to geographic constraints. The net result of a traditional educational model with so many barriers to entry is a tragic waste of potential and transformative talent.

As a global community suffering from a growing shortage of qualified medical professionals and decreased access to basic healthcare, EDU’s Institute of Higher Education aims to make high-quality education accessible to anyone in the world who is passionate about studying medicine.
EDU’s Bachelor of Medicine programme, accredited in the EU by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) in the Republic of Malta, is a major milestone in our mission to expand on and transform the global health workforce, in support of the WHO’s Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health.
